Laxoberal Abführ-Tropfen is a German oral laxative containing sodium picosulfate 7.5 mg/mL. It is used for the short-term treatment of constipation and for conditions in which easier bowel movements are desired.

Sodium picosulfate is activated in the large intestine, where it stimulates bowel movement. The effect generally begins after approximately 10–12 hours, making evening dosing convenient for a bowel movement the following morning.

Directions for Use

• Adults: Take 10–18 drops once daily.
• Children 4 years and older: Take 5–9 drops once daily.
• Preferably take the drops in the evening so the effect occurs the following morning.
• Start with the lowest recommended dose and adjust only as needed.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not use daily or for prolonged periods without determining the cause of constipation with a healthcare professional.
• After first opening, the bottle may be used for up to 12 months.

Do not use if constipation is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or fever, as these symptoms may indicate a more serious condition.
