PRONTOSAN® akut Wound Gel is a medical device from B. Braun designed for the treatment of minor cuts, abrasions, superficial wounds, and first-degree to minor second-degree burns. The hydrogel cleanses, cools, and moisturizes the wound while creating an optimal moist environment to support natural healing.

Active Ingredients

• Polyhexanide (PHMB) 0.1% – antimicrobial preservative
• Undecylenamidopropyl Betaine (Betaine surfactant) – helps cleanse the wound surface

Directions for Use

1. Wash your hands before treating the wound.
2. Gently clean and dry the affected area.
3. Apply a thin layer of gel without rubbing.
4. For cuts and abrasions, apply 1–2 times daily.
5. For sunburn, apply 2–6 times daily if needed.
6. Cover with a sterile dressing or bandage if appropriate and change the dressing daily.
7. Do not use continuously for more than 30 days unless advised by a healthcare professional.
