Directions
Sit quietly for at least 5 minutes before measuring your blood pressure.
Place the cuff snugly around your upper arm at heart level.
Insert the stethoscope earpieces and position the chest piece over the brachial artery.
Inflate the cuff using the squeeze bulb until the pressure exceeds your expected systolic pressure.
Slowly release air using the air-release valve while listening for Korotkoff sounds.
Record the first sound (systolic pressure) and the point where the sounds disappear (diastolic pressure).
Record your reading in the included blood pressure log.
Store in a clean, dry place away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Protect the gauge from impact and avoid bending or twisting the tubing. Periodically inspect the cuff and tubing for wear.
