Description
Anaferon® is an adult medicinal product supplied as 20 tablets for dissolution in the mouth. According to the current manufacturer information, it is indicated for adults for the treatment and prevention of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) as part of complex therapy. It is also indicated as part of complex treatment for newly diagnosed and recurrent herpes labialis and genital herpes.
The tablets are white to almost white and are designed to dissolve completely in the mouth rather than be swallowed whole.

Active Ingredient

Directions for Use
Use according to the package leaflet or as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Take 1 tablet per dose, separately from meals.
- Keep the tablet in the mouth until it dissolves completely.
- For influenza, ARVI, and herpes labialis, on Day 1 take 1 tablet every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours for a total of 5 tablets, then take 3 additional tablets at evenly spaced intervals during the remainder of the day.
- From Day 2 onward, take 1 tablet 3 times daily until recovery.
- For prevention of influenza and ARVI, take 1 tablet once daily for 1–3 months.
- If there is no improvement by the third day of treatment for influenza or ARVI, consult a healthcare professional.
Anaferon® is currently indicated for adults only; the safety and effectiveness of this adult formulation in people under 18 have not been established. The tablets contain lactose.
