Bepanthen® Eye and Nose Ointment is a sterile pharmaceutical ophthalmic and nasal ointment formulated to support the healing and regeneration of delicate mucous membranes in the eyes and nose. It contains dexpanthenol, a provitamin of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which promotes tissue repair, moisture retention, and recovery of irritated or damaged mucosa.

Active Ingredient:

• Dexpanthenol 50 mg per gram of ointment (5%) – supports regeneration of corneal, conjunctival and nasal mucous membranes.

Indications:

Used to support healing in:
• Dry, irritated, or cracked nasal mucosa (e.g., from frequent nose blowing or environmental irritation)
• Sore or irritated eyes and minor conjunctival injuries
• Superficial corneal irritation or dryness
• Post-environmental exposure (wind, sun, smoke) affecting eye or nasal tissues

How to Use:

Ophthalmic (eye) application:
• Apply a thin strand (~1 cm) of ointment into the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye once or several times daily as needed.
• Remove contact lenses before use.
• Because ointment may temporarily blur vision, avoid driving or operating machinery immediately after application.

Nasal application:
• Apply a thin strand (~1 cm) of ointment to the affected nasal mucosa of each nostril once or several times daily.
• Can be gently distributed by massaging the outside of the nostrils.
• After using in the nose, do not use the same tube in the eye.

Duration:
• Use until symptoms resolve; if symptoms persist beyond 3 days in the eye or 1 week in the nose, consult a healthcare professional.
