Description
Calcium is a vital mineral, e.g., for the maintenance of normal bones. Calcium requirements are particularly high during growth, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in women during and after menopause, and in people over the age of 45. The body can produce vitamin D through regular exposure of the skin to sunlight, but this production is often insufficient in our latitudes. Since the body cannot produce calcium itself, it must be consumed regularly and in sufficient quantities through food. Vitamin D, a "calcium-incorporating aid," contributes to the normal utilization of calcium and, like vitamin K, contributes to normal bone maintenance.
- 1200 mg calcium to support normal bone maintenance, "Calcium incorporation aid" Vitamin D contributes to the normal utilization of calcium, Vitamin K for normal blood clotting and normal bone maintenance
