Otodolor Direkt Ear Drops are a preservative-free German ear-care product containing anhydrous glycerol as the only active ingredient. They are intended to help relieve discomfort of the external ear canal, including irritation, itching, mild pain, and swelling that can occur after swimming, diving, exposure to chlorinated water, or wind. They may also be used preventively before and after swimming or diving.

Glycerol helps coat and protect the skin of the ear canal while drawing excess water from swollen tissue through an osmotic effect, which can help reduce pressure and discomfort. Each bottle contains 7 g of solution.

Directions for Use

• Warm the drops to approximately body temperature before use.
• While lying on your side, instill 2–3 drops into the affected ear canal as needed.
• The ear may then be loosely closed with cotton if desired.
• For preventive use, apply before and after swimming or diving.
• Hearing-aid users should apply Otodolor Direkt about 1 hour before reinserting the hearing aid.
• After first opening, use within 4 weeks.

Do not use if the eardrum is perforated or if there is a known sensitivity to glycerol. If symptoms persist for several days or fever develops, seek medical advice.
