EUBIOL® Hard Capsules is a probiotic medicinal product containing the medical yeast Saccharomyces boulardii (also known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae HANSEN CBS 5926). It is used for the treatment and prevention of various types of diarrhea, including acute diarrhea, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea, and diarrhea related to tube feeding. The probiotic yeast helps restore the natural balance of intestinal flora, inhibits the growth of harmful microorganisms, neutralizes bacterial toxins, and supports the body's natural intestinal defenses. It is also used as supportive therapy in certain cases of chronic acne.

Directions

Acute diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea, and antibiotic-associated diarrhea:

Adults and children ≥2 years:

• Take 1 capsule once daily with a meal.

Traveler's diarrhea prevention:

• Begin taking 5 days before departure and continue throughout the trip.

Supportive acne treatment:

• 1 capsule twice daily with meals.

Tube-feeding-related diarrhea:

• The contents of 2 capsules may be mixed into 1.5 liters of enteral nutrition.

The capsule may be swallowed whole with water or opened and mixed into cool food or beverages. Maintain adequate fluid and electrolyte intake during episodes of diarrhea.

Warnings

• Do not use if allergic to Saccharomyces boulardii or any ingredient.
• Do not use in patients with a central venous catheter due to the risk of fungal bloodstream infection.
• Use caution in severely immunocompromised individuals.
• Children under 2 years should use only under medical supervision.
• Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• If diarrhea lasts longer than 2 days, or is accompanied by fever or blood in the stool, seek medical attention immediately.
