FLOXADEX contains two components - ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is part of a group of medicines called anti-infectives. This group includes quinolones, which have a broad spectrum of activity against microorganisms that can infect the eye or ear. Dexamethasone is a steroid. It is used with ciprofloxacin to reduce inflammation caused by the infection.

FLOXADEX is used to treat infections of the eye or ear caused by bacteria.

Before administration, shake the bottle!

In eye infections

Adults and children over 1 year of age: 1-2 drops are instilled into the conjunctival sac in the affected eye(s) every 4 hours, in severe infections - 2 drops every hour. After your condition improves, your doctor will reduce the dose and frequency of instillations. Use this medicine for both eyes unless your doctor has told you to.

Usually, the infection will improve within 5 days. If no improvement is found, contact your doctor. The administration of the drops should be continued for another 2 days or for the period recommended by the doctor.

In ear infections

Adults and children over 6 months of age: 4 drops 3 times a day in the affected ear for 7 days.
