Dulcolax Pico is a medicinal product (oral drops, solution) without a prescription, a laxative with local action used in people with constipation (difficulty passing stools). The active ingredient of Dulcolax Pico is sodium picosulfate, which is a locally active laxative from the triarylmethane group, which after bacterial degradation by colon bacteria to diphenol, stimulates the lining of the colon, increasing their peristalsis. Dulcolax gently stimulates intestinal peristalsis and softens stools, showing its therapeutic effect on the colon. It is used for constipation and conditions in which it is necessary to facilitate defecation.
