What It Is
Cameton Spray is a topical aerosol formulated with a blend of medicated ingredients including chlorobutanol hemihydrate, synthetic camphor, levomenthol, and eucalyptus oil. It’s used in upper respiratory care to provide local anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and mild anesthetic effects directly to the nasal and throat area.

Uses & Indications
Cameton Spray is traditionally used to help provide symptomatic relief in conditions of the upper respiratory tract, such as:
• Rhinitis (nasal irritation)
• Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and laryngitis (irritation or inflammation of throat tissues)
• Inflammatory irritation of the nose and throat due to colds or environmental factors
• Support for easier breathing and mucous membrane comfort in mild discomfort

The combination of antiseptic and “distracting” mild irritant actions can help ease sensations of local irritation and promote a sensation of clearer airways.

Ingredients
Active components per spray include:
• Chlorobutanol hemihydrate – local antiseptic, mild anesthetic, and anti-inflammatory action
• Camphor (racemic) – mild irritant that increases local blood flow and has antiseptic qualities
• Levomenthol – provides a cooling sensation and local anesthetic effect
• Eucalyptus oil – aromatic component with mild anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity
• Inactive carriers such as isopropyl myristate and the propellant tetrafluoroethane (R-134a) used for aerosol delivery.

Dosing / How to Use
• For nasal or oral application: Aim the spray into the nasal cavity or mouth while inhaling gently.
• Frequency: Typically 2–3 sprays per application, 3–4 times daily or as tolerated, based on convenience and comfort needs.
• For best results, avoid tilting the head back when spraying and do not share the bottle between users to reduce transmission of microbes.
• Keep the can upright and press the spray until an even mist is produced before first use.
