Lactulose AIWA is an osmotic laxative oral solution containing lactulose 670 mg per ml. Lactulose is a non-absorbable sugar that draws water into the colon, softening stools and increasing bowel movement frequency, making it useful for the treatment of constipation. It may also be used to help reduce blood ammonia levels in certain liver conditions under medical supervision.
