About Milk Thistle
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a flowering plant that has been used in traditional herbal practices for centuries.
Milk thistle seeds are best known as the botanical source associated with silymarin, a group of naturally occurring flavonolignans widely studied for their antioxidant properties.
Importantly, milk thistle seed oil is not the same as a standardized silymarin extract or capsule. The exact silymarin concentration of an oil can vary, so the product should not be presented as supplying a specific dose of silymarin unless laboratory testing or the product label provides that amount.
Cold-Pressed & Unrefined
Siberian Green uses a cold-press extraction process to produce the oil. The finished product is marketed as extra virgin and unrefined.
