Acute pain relief. 

Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis pain. 

Primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cramps).

Should not be used by people with known liver disease, or who had previous serious reactions to NSAIDs.

Also contraindications often include active digestive ulcers or bleeding in GI tract, severe heart failure/renal failure, etc. 

Not recommended in children under a certain age (usually under 12) in most formulations.

Dose: Usually 100 mg twice daily for adults (so total 200 mg/day) when indicated. 

Duration: Use for shortest possible period. Often recommended not to exceed 15 days of continuous treatment. 

Take after meals to reduce GI upset and ensure better tolerability.
