Pankreatin Laves 10,000 is a German pancreatic enzyme medicine containing pancreatin derived from porcine pancreatic tissue. It is used for disorders of exocrine pancreatic function associated with impaired digestion (maldigestion). Each gastro-resistant capsule supplies pancreatic enzymes that help digest fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.
The capsules contain enteric-coated microtablets designed to protect the enzymes from stomach acid so they can be released further along the digestive tract. The product can be used in children, adolescents, and adults, with dosing adjusted according to individual needs and the severity of pancreatic insufficiency.
Active Ingredient: Pancreatin 97.6 mg from porcine pancreas per capsule, corresponding to:
Lipase: 10,000 Ph.Eur. units
Amylase: at least 7,500 Ph.Eur. units
Protease: at least 450 Ph.Eur. units

Directions for Use
Use exactly as directed in the package leaflet or by a healthcare professional.
Take the capsules during or immediately after a meal or snack with sufficient liquid.
Swallow the capsules whole and do not chew or crush them.
If swallowing the capsule is difficult, it may be opened and the enteric-coated contents swallowed without chewing.
Do not crush the microtablets or mix them with foods or liquids with a pH above 5.5, as this may damage the protective coating and reduce effectiveness.
The dosage should be individualized according to the severity of pancreatic insufficiency, fat intake, symptoms, and nutritional status.
High doses should only be used under medical supervision.
Patients with an allergy to porcine proteins should use caution. If symptoms do not improve after several days or worsen, consult a healthcare professional.
