Paralen 125 mg is a children’s pain reliever and fever reducer containing paracetamol (acetaminophen) 125 mg per tablet. According to the current official leaflet, it is intended for children from 3 years of age for reducing fever and relieving mild-to-moderate pain associated with common childhood illnesses, colds, flu-like illnesses, and vaccination.
Paralen 125 may also be used for pain such as headache, toothache, teething-related pain, sore throat, and non-inflammatory musculoskeletal pain.
The tablets are scored and can be divided into two equal doses, making the 125 mg strength particularly convenient for weight-based pediatric dosing.

Directions & Pediatric Dosing
The official leaflet recommends administering Paralen 125 as needed 3–4 times daily, generally at 6-hour intervals. When necessary, the interval may be shortened to 4 hours provided the maximum daily dose is not exceeded. Dosing is based primarily on the child’s body weight.

Important Acetaminophen Warning
Do not give Paralen 125 together with another medicine containing paracetamol/acetaminophen unless specifically instructed by a healthcare professional.
Taking more than the recommended amount of acetaminophen can cause severe liver damage. In case of an overdose or accidental ingestion of too many tablets, seek immediate medical attention even if the child appears well, because signs of liver injury may be delayed.
Do Not Use
Do not administer Paralen 125 if the child:
Is allergic to paracetamol or another ingredient
Has severe liver disease or acute liver inflammation
Has severe hemolytic anemia
Consult a healthcare professional before use if the child has liver or kidney disease, G6PD deficiency, or is taking other medications that may interact with paracetamol.
