Rekutan is a herbal medicinal solution from Ukraine, based on chamomile extract, used for various inflammatory conditions and as a supportive therapy in multiple medical fields.

🌿 Composition and Form

• Active ingredient: Chamomile flower extract (1:1)

• Excipients: 50% ethanol, polysorbate

• Form: Solution for both local and internal use, 100 ml

• Appearance: Dark brown liquid with characteristic chamomile odor

✅ Indications

Rekutan is used as part of complex therapy for:

• Dental conditions: Stomatitis, gingivitis, glossitis, periodontitis

• Upper respiratory tract diseases: Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, chronic bronchitis

• Gastrointestinal disorders: Chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, colitis, enterocolitis

• Proctological conditions: Proctitis, proctosigmoiditis, hemorrhoids

• Gynecological conditions: Inflammatory processes, cervical erosion, prophylaxis before cesarean section

💊 Dosage and Administration

Local use:

• Mouth rinses: Dissolve 2 teaspoons (10 ml) in 200 ml water; rinse several times a day for 2–3 days

• Periodontitis: Soak tampons in solution and apply to gum pockets for 10–15 minutes daily or every other day for 3–7 days

• Inhalation: Dissolve 2 teaspoons (10 ml) in 200 ml water; inhale for up to 10 days

• Enemas: 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 ml) in 200 ml warm water; after bowel movement, daily for 3–4 weeks (up to 6 weeks if needed)

• Vaginal douches: 2–3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) in 1 liter of warm water; 2–3 times daily for 3–4 weeks

Internal use:

• 1 teaspoon (5 ml) in 100 ml warm water, 20–30 minutes before meals, 2–4 times daily

• Duration depends on the patient’s condition and should be determined by a doctor

• Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to chamomile or other Asteraceae/Compositae plants (ambrosia, chrysanthemums, marigold, daisy)
