Peach oil is extracted by cold pressing the kernels of the fruit of the same name. It is lightweight, quickly absorbed and is often used in cosmetic therapies as a daily moisturizer. In its consistency, it resembles apricot kernel oil and sweet almond oil, but absorbs a little more slowly, which makes it suitable for longer massages.
The oil is distinguished by a fine texture and delicate aroma. It contains polyunsaturated fatty acids such as palmitic, oleic and linoleic, as well as vitamins A and E, carotenoids, tocopherols and phospholipids. It also contains minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron. It is suitable for dry, tired or sensitive skin.
