✅ What It’s Used For

Skinoren is prescribed for:

• Mild to moderate acne vulgaris — helps reduce pimples, blackheads, and inflammation. 

• Rosacea (in some cases) — to reduce redness, bumps. 

• Improving skin tone, reducing post-acne hyperpigmentation or dark spots. 

⚙️ How It Works

• Azelaic acid has antibacterial effects (kills or reduces growth of acne-causing bacteria, e.g. Propionibacterium acnes)

• Keratolytic / comedolytic activity: helps normalize skin cell turnover, preventing blocked pores (“comedones”) 

• Anti-inflammatory: reduces swelling, redness of lesions. 

🕒 How to Use (Dosage & Duration)

• Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin over the affected area, typically twice daily (morning and evening) 

• For sensitive or new users: start with once daily (often in the evening) for first week to allow skin to adjust 

• Amount: If treating the whole face, about 0.5 g per application (about a fingertip length of cream) is often enough; more needed if larger area affected 

• Treatment is usually continued for several weeks (4-8 weeks) to see noticeable improvements; for more sustained benefit, may continue for months.
