    Description

Troxevasin Gel 2% is a topical venotonic / venoprotective agent whose active ingredient is troxerutin. Troxerutin is a flavonoid (derivative of rutin) with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

    Composition & Formulation

    • Concentration: 2% — meaning 20 mg of troxerutin per 1 gram of gel.

    • Other ingredients may include: carbomer, triethanolamine (trolamine), disodium EDTA, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.

    • Typically comes in tubes of 40 g or 100 g, sometimes aluminum-tubes or laminate/plastic tubes.

    Indications (What It’s Used For)

Troxevasin 2% gel is used externally for:

    • Symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency: swelling, pain, heaviness in the legs, “tired legs,” and visible veins (“spider veins”)

    • Varicose veins and associated symptoms

    • Thrombophlebitis or superficial vein inflammation

    • Traumatic swelling and pain (e.g. from bruises, sprains)

    How to Use / Dosage

    • Apply a thin layer of the gel to clean, dry skin in the affected area.

    • Usually 2 times a day (morning and evening). Some sources say up to 3 times a day if needed.

    • Massage gently until the gel is fully absorbed.

    • Duration: regular, consistent use is often needed; if symptoms fail to improve after about 1 week (6-7 days), medical advice should be sought.
