How It Works

Directions for Use

Adults, including adults over 65, and adolescents/children weighing 60 kg (132 lb) or more:

The recommended daily dose is:

50 mg/kg body weight per day

Usual dosage:

1 sachet (1000 mg), 3–4 times daily

Maximum daily dose: 4 sachets (4000 mg).

Divide the daily dose evenly throughout the day.

Viruxan Forte can be taken with or without food.

How to Prepare

Open the sachet immediately before use.

Dissolve the entire contents of 1 sachet in at least 100 mL of cold or room-temperature water.

Stir until dissolved and drink immediately.

Do not prepare the solution in advance or save a prepared solution for later use.

Duration of Use

Treatment should be started as early as possible after symptoms develop.

Do not use Viruxan Forte for longer than 7 days without consulting a physician.

If symptoms do not improve or become worse after 7 days, medical evaluation is recommended.

Important Safety Information

Do not use Viruxan Forte if:

• You are allergic to inosine acedoben dimepranol or another ingredient
• You currently have gout
• You have elevated uric acid levels (hyperuricemia)

Inosine pranobex can affect uric acid levels, so patients with a history of gout, hyperuricemia, kidney stones, or impaired kidney function should discuss its use with a healthcare professional.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
