How It Works
Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal medicine. It interferes with the production of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membranes. This inhibits the growth of susceptible fungi and yeasts, including Malassezia species associated with seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis versicolor.
Directions for Use
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin and surrounding area, according to the package directions or instructions from a healthcare professional.
For seborrheic dermatitis and other indicated fungal skin conditions, treatment frequency and duration depend on the condition being treated.
Clean and dry the affected area before application.
Gently apply the cream to the affected skin.
Wash hands after application unless the hands are being treated.
Continue treatment for the recommended duration even if symptoms begin improving earlier.
