Description

Children's Motrin® Oral Suspension contains ibuprofen 100 mg per 5 mL and provides up to 8 hours of relief from fever and minor aches and pains associated with the common cold, flu, sore throat, headache, and toothache. This bubble gum-flavored liquid is formulated for children ages 2–11 years and features an easy-to-measure dosing system. It is alcohol-free and designed specifically for pediatric use.

Indications

Temporarily:

• Reduces fever
• Relieves minor aches and pains due to:
  • Common cold
  • Flu

  • Toothache
  • Minor muscle aches

Provides relief for up to 8 hours.

Directions

Shake well before use.

Children under 24 lbs (under 2 years):

• Ask a healthcare professional.

Children 24 lbs and over:

• Dose according to weight and package directions.
• May be repeated every 6–8 hours if needed.
• Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

Use only the enclosed dosing cup or measuring device.

Warnings

• Contains an NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
• Do not use in children under 6 months unless directed by a healthcare professional.
• Ask a healthcare professional before use if the child has stomach problems, kidney disease, asthma, or is taking other medications.
• Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if fever worsens, lasts more than 3 days, or pain lasts more than 10 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
