Fleet Pedia-Lax Saline Laxative Chewable Tablets are specially formulated for children ages 2–11 years to provide gentle, predictable relief from occasional constipation. These watermelon-flavored chewable tablets contain magnesium hydroxide, a saline laxative that works by drawing water into the intestines to help promote comfortable bowel movements without the harsh cramping often associated with stimulant laxatives. Relief typically occurs within 30 minutes to 6 hours.

Directions

Drink a full glass (8 ounces) of liquid with each dose.

Children 6 to under 12 years:

• Starting dose: 3–6 tablets
• Maximum dose: 6 tablets per 24 hours

Children 2 to under 6 years:

• Starting dose: 1–3 tablets
• Maximum dose: 3 tablets per 24 hours

Children under 2 years:

• Ask a doctor before use

Doses may be taken as a single daily dose or in divided doses.

Warnings

• Ask a doctor before use if your child has kidney disease.
• Ask a doctor before use if your child is on a magnesium-restricted diet.
• Ask a doctor before use if your child has abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting.
• Ask a doctor before use if there has been a sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than 2 weeks.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if rectal bleeding occurs.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if no bowel movement occurs within 6 hours after use.
• Do not use for more than 1 week unless directed by a healthcare professional.
• Keep out of reach of children.
