Pedia-Lax Liquid Glycerin Suppositories are a stimulant-free, liquid glycerin laxative specially formulated for children ages 2–11 years. Unlike traditional solid suppositories, the liquid glycerin formula comes in easy-to-use pre-filled applicators and works by drawing water into the colon to help soften stool and stimulate a bowel movement. Relief typically occurs within 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Directions

Children Ages 6–11 Years

• Insert the contents of 1 applicator rectally as a single daily dose.

Children Ages 2–5 Years

• Use 1 applicator or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Children Under 2 Years

Administration:

1. Remove protective cap.
2. Lubrication is not required but may be used if desired.
3. Gently insert the applicator tip into the rectum.
4. Squeeze the bottle until nearly all liquid is expelled.
5. Remove the applicator while maintaining pressure on the bottle.

Warnings

• For rectal use only.
• Do not swallow.
• Do not use if your child has abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or symptoms of appendicitis unless directed by a healthcare professional.
• Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if rectal bleeding occurs or if there is no bowel movement after use.
• Do not use for more than 1 week unless directed by a healthcare professional.
