How Ketoconazole Works

Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal medicine. It inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis, disrupting the fungal cell membrane.

On the scalp, ketoconazole acts against yeasts including Malassezia, which play an important role in dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

How to Use

Apply Terzolin to the wet scalp and affected skin areas and gently massage to create a lather.

Allow the product to remain in contact with the scalp for approximately 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.

For dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, ketoconazole 2% products are commonly used:

Treatment: Twice weekly for 2–4 weeks.

Prevention of recurrence: Once every 1–2 weeks.
