Antihydral® Ointment is a topical treatment formulated to help manage excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) of the hands, feet, and underarms. It contains methenamine (13%), which helps normalize excessive perspiration by drying the outer layer of the skin without using aluminum salts. Antihydral® has been used for decades and is also popular among climbers, gymnasts, and athletes to improve grip by reducing hand moisture.

Indications

For the topical treatment of:

• Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
• Sweaty hands (palmar hyperhidrosis)
• Sweaty feet (plantar hyperhidrosis)
• Excessive underarm perspiration
• Moist skin between the toes

Also commonly used to improve grip in activities such as climbing, gymnastics, and weightlifting.

Directions

Adults and adolescents:

• Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin once or twice daily, preferably in the evening.
• Allow the ointment to dry completely.
• Once sweating has decreased (usually after several days), reduce application to every few days or as needed.
• If excessive dryness develops, reduce the frequency of use and apply a moisturizer between treatments.

Warnings

• For external use only.
• Do not apply to broken, blistered, or weeping skin.
• Do not use if allergic to methenamine, formaldehyde, or any ingredient in the product.
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
• Skin irritation, dryness, or eczema may occur, especially in people sensitive to formaldehyde.
• Do not apply to the breast during breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
