Dulcolax Pico est un médicament (gouttes orales, solution) sans ordonnance, un laxatif à action locale utilisé chez les personnes souffrant de constipation (difficulté à évacuer les selles). L'ingrédient actif de Dulcolax Pico est le picosulfate de sodium, qui est un laxatif à action locale du groupe triarylméthane, qui après dégradation bactérienne par les bactéries du côlon en diphénol, stimule la muqueuse du côlon, augmentant leur péristaltisme. Dulcolax stimule doucement le péristaltisme intestinal et ramollit les selles, montrant son effet thérapeutique sur le côlon. Il est utilisé pour la constipation et les conditions dans lesquelles il est nécessaire de faciliter la défécation. Il est applicable en préparation à des procédures diagnostiques, avant et après une intervention chirurgicale et dans des conditions où la facilitation de la défécation est requise. Dulcolax n'affecte pas la digestion et ne provoque pas l'accumulation de calories ou d'autres nutriments dans l'intestin grêle.
