Valokormid has a calming and spasmolytic effect. Specific action of the drug is due to the substances that make up its composition. Valerian acid causes a calming effect on the central nervous system. Tincture of the belladonna blocks M-holinoretseptory smooth muscles of internal organs, which has an effect of spasmolytic action. Tincture of the lily of the valley increases the contractile quality of the myocardium, increases the shock and minute volume of blood. Sodium bromide enhances the processes of inhibition in the cerebral cortex, restores the equilibrium between the processes of excitation and inhibition with increased excitability. Menthol, irritating the mucous membrane of the mouth, reflexively dilates the coronary vessels.
